Who we are
TopicWeaver is a product of SynaBot AI Inc., a Delaware corporation in the USA. SynaBot AI Inc. is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us at hello@topicweaver.ai.
Data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account data: your email address and name. If you sign up with a password, it is stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider — we never see it in plain text. If you use Google sign-in, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email).
- Topics and descriptions you enter.
- Resources found for your topics (titles, links, descriptions and images).
- Plan and Credit status, such as whether you are on the Free plan, your Credit balance and your Credit history.
- Waitlist emails you submit to hear about Pro.
- Website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 records page views, approximate location, device and browser information, and sets analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy.
How we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Provide, operate and secure the service and your account.
- Research your topics and add new resources to your dashboard.
- Send notification emails when new resources are found.
- Send service emails, such as account, security and important product updates.
Who processes your data
We use trusted service providers acting on our behalf: hosting, database and authentication providers, an email delivery provider, AI model providers and, if you accept analytics, Google Analytics. AI model providers receive your topic names and descriptions so they can perform research. They may only use this data to provide their services to us.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how the website is used. It loads only after you select "Accept analytics". If you reject or make no choice, it does not load. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Google processes this data as our service provider under its own terms. Necessary storage for sign-in, theme and your analytics choice is described in our Cookie Policy.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Email hello@topicweaver.ai to make a request. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and your data is processed in the US. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers from the EU, UK and other regions.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
TopicWeaver is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the app.
